I.a. Students are able to evaluate critically, reflect, and problem-solve individually as well as collaboratively.

This assignment was a collaboration wherein my group members and I worked together to update a library's computer usage policy. Our revisions made way for more flexibility and our ultimate conclusion was that policies should be reviewed often for the sake of patrons as well as staff members.

I.b. Students demonstrate effective communication skills.

This research paper defends the importance of providing professional development opportunities to those in the field of librarianship. These opportunities have been shown to equip library professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to best serve their patrons and work to the best of their abilities in their professional positions.

I.c. Students participate in professional and community engagement activities in the field.

I consulted with five of my students and asked that they consider a multicultural children's book that they felt made an impact and that they would recommend to others. These students were then interviewed and given the opportunity to promote the title of their choice.

I.d. Students demonstrate leadership skills and innovation in a diverse and global environment.

For this assignment, I was tasked with proposing a program I could implement in an educational setting. After conducting and gathering my research, I concluded that a drone class, wherein the central focus is inquiry-based learning, would ultimately have a positive impact upon students for several reasons. My presentation details these reasons and suggests that such a course is adopted at the elementary level.
